Dear bff,

Not sure why, but I've been so exhausted lately. My typical day looks like one of the following two options:

Option A
wake up
go to work
come home
veg in front of the tele
sleep

Option B
wake up
go to work
go to the gym
come home
veg in front of the tele
sleep

repeat.
repeat.
repeat.

yawn.

I think it's time for bed!

day one hundred and six: morning routine

Dear bff,

I thought I'd give you a glimpse into my life during my commute to work.
Sometimes I don't know how anyone puts up with me...

day 104: retro obsession

Dear bff,

No excuses for my lack of postings.

But to make up for it, I am going to take you with me down memory lane circa the 90s.

Recently I discovered an app on Nathan's phone.

{I know, how is it possible that this app is not iPhone compatible?}

It was.

TOMAGOTCHI APP!

So I spent the majority of my week playing with it during my ride to work.

Actually, I kind of just hatched the egg and made Nathan take care of it.

He killed it.

Twice.

His name was George.

I loved him.

Sigh.

day one hundred: milestone

Dear bff,

It's day one hundred!
You've come so far and although there is still a bit left in this journey, I think you should be proud of everything you had to go {and are still going} through.
The body is a resilient thing!
To celebrate, I stole this picture off the web {it makes me really happy for some reason}.
It describes what we both should be doing right now...sleeping on a marshmallow.
If there's one thing for sure in this life, it's that marshmallows just make everything better.

Dear bff,

One of my favourite things to do is to browse the snack aisle at my local Chinese super market.
You never know what gems you may find!

Dear bff,

I hope you had a fun filled night at Pink's concert!
I, on the other hand, have had quite a lazy day.
Starting with a lunch date with momma and poppa bear then a bit of grocery shopping and television time.
Oh, lazy days...how I adore you.

Dear bff,

Although colourful, those touchless car washes just aren't as fun as the old school octopus arms ones.
I feel like I'm at that age where I will start talking about the good ol' days and the youngins will just roll their eyes at me.
We should be cranky old ladies together!
I better invest in some cats...

I hope that you are having a blast dancing the night away!
I, on the other hand, am trying to change my night owl ways in order to get more Zs every night.

Dear bff,

Surprisingly, a large selection of virtual punching bags can be found in the app store!
This way you can punch as much as you need without exerting the energy.
A win-win if I do say so myself :)

day ninety three: fake fish date day

Dear bff,

Once you are back onto soft mushy foods I am taking you to Galleria and buying us some of these made-on-the-spot fish shaped waffles filled with red green or black bean paste wow that seems like a really long run on sentence did you breathe yet or are you like me and only breathe when there is punctuation I should stop but I can't help myself I am such a bully aren't I
{I actually went back and took out the two commas that I had originally used}

I am horrible.

But at least I come with promises of fish shaped waffles?

day ninety two: oops

Dear bff,

You know how I said that my room is still in pretty good condition since my closet overhaul?
Well.
I may have accidentally lied.
Took a good look around me and notice little piles forming.

day ninety one: just one of those days

Dear bff,

Spent my day running errands and lounging and reading and staring out the window.
Not a super eventful day, but I must admit that I am now well rested!

... which also means that I am having trouble sleeping.
Being a night owl isn't helping at the moment either.
I think I might just turn off the lights and see what happens.

day ninety: broken glass

Dear bff,

Some people see an accident.
A hazard.
An inconvenience.
Something imperfect
Something to walk around and avoid.

I see an opportunity to see the world in a different way. We just need to remember that broken glass can still be beautiful. That people who aggravate us and who are insensitive can only aggravate and hurt us as much as we let them.

So let's choose to see the world in a way that makes everything just a little prettier.

day eighty nine: a chilly visit

Dear bff,

I wanted to take a picture of a white owl that looked like a snowball for you, but my fingers were frozen.
So the only picture I ended up taking today was of these white lions.
As you can see, they are all ignoring me...

Perhaps I will rummage through Nathan's phone for some pictures.
But I have a feeling we only took silly selfies.

I find that I take more photos in the summer.
Maybe it's cause my fingers don't turn into ice cubes!

Off to bed for me!

day eighty eight: must. go.

Dear bff,

I know this is probably meant for children...but I need to go to the Legoland Discovery Centre at Vaughan Mills.
Nathan and I snuck a peek inside and it looked like a hoot!
Perhaps I will have my birthday there this year.
I don't think I will ever feel too old to play with Lego!
