Dear bff,

My original plan was to post my picture of kumquats and talk about how my taste buds have changed over the years.
But then I looked more closely at the picture and noticed yoshi busy licking his paw in the background.
So now all I see is that in my picture.

day eighty five and six: let it snow

Dear bff,

Snowfalls can cause a bit of chaos in the city.
With slippery roads and fuzzy windshields, I can see why many people loathe the snow.
But I see a pretty landscape for picture taking.
An opportunity to play.
And even a chance to get some fresh air while shoveling the drive way.

Most of all, big messy snowfalls that cover the city white remind me of my childhood.

So are you a yay or nay for snow?

Dear bff,

I had uploaded a new post last night about how I dug into my craft box for pastels.
And how I had a million oil and chalk pastel sets when I was younger and doing my artsy stuff.
And how I was only able to find a box of crayons after much rummaging.
But alas, the gods of the blogger app decided that last night was not going to be a post night for me...

Dear bff,

I really need to start getting my eight hours a night. It's just so hard to drag myself to bed when there are so many distractions! Sometimes I'm just too tired to go sleep {if that makes any sense}. It's just easier to stay awake instead of getting ready for bed...

I will try to sleep now and not stay up for another half hour.

No promises though.

Hair ties have always reminded me of school {particularly elementary school}
I feel the need to share with you my love of floral print tights and baggy sweaters back in the day.
I kind of wish I still had those tights.

Dear bff,

I think it would be amazing if happy was guaranteed at every place we visited.
Maybe it would be guaranteed if we go in expecting to be happy. That way, you would be too focused to be anything but happy! It really just boils down to how you choose to look at things.

Dear bff,

The time has finally come...my brain has decided that it will no longer work.
Which means that tonight's blog post is about a missing thought bubble.
I hope I can find something more exciting to talk about tomorrow.
But for tonight, I will just wish you well on your adventure tomorrow!
The halfway mark is always the toughest part to reach and now that we're here, we know that each day that passes will just be one day closer to the end of all this madness :)

Still can't figure out what you're doing with my list of cherished items, but I gave it more thought. I've decided that my most cherished things are things that will make my belly happy. Perhaps I can hold a fried egg? A sushi roll? A giant loaf of bread?

Dear bff,

Meet yoshi's boyfriend of the evening.
They enjoyed long walks around the house and even shared a snack of cantaloupe :)

I thought it was the cutest thing when they both just sat there waiting for my dad to feed them.

Dear bff,

Just settled into bed from a long day.
Imitation peach rings was the only thing that sustained me...
Shopping is such hard work, but the sales were definitely worth it!
I will do more squats and cardio to prep my body for our April trip.

Walked by one of my favorite shops on the Danforth {iQ|living}. So I took a picture of their window display for you! They actually update it quite regularly and it is always so unique.

I think I might go back and pick up some goodies before March.

Dear bff,

What a long day!
Started at five in the a.m. and am just settling into bed. Hope your Saturday wasn't as exhausting as mine. Although, a tiring day does make me appreciate my bed more when it comes time to climb into it...

At least the days are getting brighter earlier! I always feel so much more energize when the sun is out. Here is a photo for you to share in some of that sunny energy!

day sixty seven: snowy adventure

Dear bff,

Nathan and I actually ventured to work today. Surprisingly, the commute today was a lot shorter than yesterday even with all that snow on the ground! I was prepared for a three hour commute and brought with me raspberries to keep our bellies happy.

Despite the swirly cars and lumpy roads (which explains my fuzzy picture), the ride was quite scenic and more beautiful than what I normally see. I suppose everything looks prettier when covered in white fluffy snow :)

Dear bff,

Snow day tomorrow means an early trek to work. Which explains why I'm already ready for bed at 9:45pm! Whether or not i will actually sleep will be the trickier part.

At $8 for 12 small ones, I think it is worthy of being added to your tea party menu!
